Looking
for Iron Giant Artists
Over
the weekend, Bill Liebowitz, owner of Golden
Apple Comics in Los Angeles, told me about his intention
to do a big signing session for the Iron Giant
special edition DVD coming out in November. Bill knew
that I was involved in the making of the movie (Special
Effects Designer/Animator) and asked me if I could attend.
I answered that I'd be glad to. He then asked if it would
be possible for me to contact more Iron Giant
artists to come to the signing. I told him that I'd try
my best.
So,
if you were involved in the making of The Iron Giant
in a creative position and have received a credit in the
movie, Golden
Apple Comics wants you for the event! If you qualify,
please send
an email to Bill Liebowitz so you can be added to
the guest list. The signing is scheduled for November
20th.
They
did a similar thing for the Hellboy DVD release
and it was a smash hit! Check out this
link.

About
a month ago, I met with the fine folks
at Sideshow
to decide which would be the next limited
edition collectibles to emerge from
our collaboration. Since the statues
have been such a hit so far, we decided
to go ahead and simultaneously put three
new pieces in production. All of them
are from the Insanely
Twisted Rabbits book and here
they are:
The
second piece in the collection, Scarab
Rabbit, is now available and is
nearly 80% sold already, so act quickly!
The upcoming third piece (Spike
Tail) is now available for pre-order.
Unfortunately, the first in the series,
Demon
Dog Rabbit, is completely sold out...
that's what happens when you wait too
long!

Usagi
Yojimbo Pinup
Here's
a pinup I did for Stan Sakai.
I met Stan at the Emerald
City Comicon earlier this year and
since then, we've both survived and enjoyed
Anthrocon.
I
suggested to Stan that we should trade
pinups for our respective comic series
(Usagi and ZED) which Stan gladly agreed
to.
On
the right is my rendition of Stan's famous
samurai rabbit. Now, I'm anxiously waiting
to see what Stan will do with my little
alien ZED!
